This major prepares future agricultural educators to teach in middle schools, high schools, universities and community colleges, county extension offices, and other agricultural industries.
Students in this major will learn about leadership theory as well as the major dynamics of the food and fiber industries. This major prepares leaders for the very diverse agriculture industry.Minors within the Agricultural and Human Sciences Department
This minor teaches students about Cooperative Extension, nonformal education, management and leadership of volunteers, communication media and technology, and leadership theory, principles, and skills. This minor is for students who are interested in careers within the Cooperative Extension System or other nonformal learning organizations.
Leadership in Agriculture and Life Sciences Minor:
This minor will expose students to theory, principles, and skills required to be a leader in the Agriculture or Life Sciences industries. This minor gives students a competitive edge when it comes to applying to supervisory or management positions.
