Career Pathways in Agriculture for Community College Students (Career PACCS) is a new opportunity that will engage North Carolina community college students in exploring academic and career opportunities in food and agricultural sciences. Community college students selected for Career PACCS will:

  • Participate in 3 forums per year (one-day each) to explore
    academic goals, career goals, and NC State resources.
  • Engage with NC State faculty to explore career opportunities
    in agriculture and life sciences.
  • Meet other community college students interested in
    exploring food and agricultural science careers.
  • Learn about their career preferences by completing the
    Strong Interest Inventory®
  • Connect with professionals to build their network and further
    their career knowledge.
  • Explore what NC State has to offer: academics, student life,
    scholarships, experiential learning, and more.
  • Receive guidance and mentoring on transferring to NC State
    College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS).
  • Faculty, graduate students, and industry professionals will provide
    informal mentoring to Career PACCS participants.

Career PACCS will help participants to identify their pathways, transfer to an NC State CALS degree program, and achieve career success in agriculture.
