What Is Howling with CALS?
Howling w/ CALS is an opportunity provided to admitted students to learn more about the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) through in-person tours. Learn more about specific degree programs through one-on-one conversations with departmental professors, advisors, and faculty and staff. Guided campus tours are led by the college’s student ambassadors, who will answer questions and provide an insider’s perspective for students and families joining us to explore NC State University.The Department of Agricultural and Human Sciences focuses on preparing the next generation of agricultural professionals through research, education, and extension services. Our programs include degree options in Agricultural Education and Agricultural Science (also available online) and minors in Extension Education and Leadership. We encourage admitted students to learn more about our department and programs offered by registering for a Howling w/ CALS event or scheduling a personal tour at your own convenience.Come Howl with Us!

These sessions provide an excellent opportunity to get your questions answered and learn more about NC State’s admissions process. If you’re interested in applying to NC State, it’s never too late! We review applications year-round, making it convenient to apply. While the deadline for Fall 2025 admission has passed, keep an eye out for Spring 2026 admissions. Applications will open in August 2025 and are due by January 9th, 2026.
We use a rolling admissions system, meaning applications are reviewed as they are received rather than waiting for a final deadline. This allows for quicker decision-making.
